To lovely Pastor Ronke, Egbon to Morayo and Debo, a wonderful in law and an elegant woman of virtue who meant a whole lot to different people who were blessed to have known her, my humble self included.
Sister Ronke, from the moment we met, on one of your countless visits to Debo and Morayo’s house in Strood, Kent, you called me “Ana mi” ( my in law in Yoruba), with a ready smile that lit up the whole room.
You made time to come to South Wales, driving my Omo Iya for hundreds of miles when I had a baby in 2005, blessing the little one as well out of your generosity. When we lost our beloved dad in 2013, out of the UK and in Toronto, I was in a dark place, almost inconsolable, you reached out with an encouraging phone call, prayed and comforted me through my tears, I can never forget your immense strength and support when I needed it most.
The outpouring of loving tributes from your family, loved ones and friends only go to show what a remarkable, rare and gracious person you were.
May your memory continue to be a blessing and your legacy live on in your beloved children.
Ana mi, e Sun re o.
