Tribute

Every living creature has to die someday, and yet the death of a loved one is the hardest thing to accept. The grief of losing a dear one is beyond any description, and we understand just how difficult it can be to cope with it. It is often hard to find words to express our feelings. I know my tears won’t bring you back, but I can’t stop shedding them. You gave me the truest form of love, care, and affection. I cannot believe I won’t be hearing “o kuti e, alabosi, Alasunkè” ever again.

You have been the kindest, purest, amazing, the most loving sister in love one can ever have. By losing you, I’ve lost a part of me. You had a pure heart and a beautiful mind. The loss of someone like you is saddening for the entirety of mankind. Anyone who has ever known you is sure to miss you. “Sister Ronke” as we do call you!

Ever, since I married your brother I never regretted having you as my sister in love, so many things to say about you but let me just mention a few: is it your going to Ede to pick Mosope from school saying that we shouldn’t stress ourselves from coming from Lagos, is it having someone come to Lagos, to send foodstuffs to me!

You don’t know how to say “No”. I remember my birthday last year, I told you I wasn’t having a party not knowing my husband was planning a surprise party which he did not even inform you, but because of your kind heart you came and did souvenirs on behalf of the family, I was surprised to see you!

You are such a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart and memories still and will always remain with me. Until we see each other again. Rest in peace my amazing down to earth sister, I will always adore you.
