Auntie Ronke as she was fondly known to us ‘is’ a force of nature. I can’t bring myself to refer to her in the past tense. Auntie the life and soul of the party. Even when things were rough during the 90’s when we worked together through fuel scarcity, bank closures ,etc her famous phrase ‘kilo semi ti awo mi ojolo’ . I remember thinking how come she always has such a positive spin on life and her response was ‘Jesu ni’. Aunty Ronke you have fought the good fight. Jesu Loba no questions asked. May Almighty God continue to comfort us all . This really doesn’t make sense to me . ‘Amo oye Olorun.’ We thank God for your life and for all the remarkable things you were able to achieve and the lives you have touched. Auntie Ronke never lacked courage to take the next bold step in to the unknown because she trusted in the Lord. You were instrumental in helping me to find the courage I lacked as a young woman to take bold steps. You always have a way of making it easy and saying what do you have to lose just try. Your legacy of love will continue to live forever in the lives that you touched .Sun re Aunty mi. Thank you for loving our family unit unconditionally. I will never forget you. Rest in peace Auntie Ronke.
