We know you are in a far better place than we are, this we hang on to while wiping our tears.

Who are we to cry this much as we can only wonder how Bro Ayo, Damola, Anjola and Tomisin and your immediate family will miss your comforting smile that melts all perception of troubles away. You deliver comfort by blending a mixture of the English language with Yoruba to drive messages from the Bible to back up why I should always take good care of my wife and family! “Adeola and Jimi are there to spend your money” + “Iṣẹ l’ogun iṣẹ”. Well, understood!

Adeola and I will ever be grateful for how you and your husband supported and guided us whenever we needed wise counsel. Rest assured, the baton has been passed on effectively, as our son Jimi now heeds advice from Damola and Tomisin with even greater reverence than from me.

Indeed, your legacy extends beyond your immediate family; we, as a collective, hold dear our part in preserving and honoring your memory. That radiant smile of yours remains etched in my mind, it is tough, while at the same time a constant reminder of your enduring love and care.

For me, that smile just wouldn’t go away.

You try for us all. Rest well Ma. Please extend our regards to all of them, our forebearers with the Lord in heaven.
