Aremus as Ronke would fondly call me with a big smile hmmm oga never a dull moment. Words fail me struggling to put my thoughts in words. First met Ronke during a summer break 1988 very friendly through Funmi Oloko. We got closer when she came to England with the kids. Ronke was the one who encouraged us to move to Chatham as we were considering other parts of UK. Ronke said “Aremus ibi yi da” schools good like private. Excellent education for the children was so important to her. She would pick me at the Chatham station, and we would go viewing together. When we eventually moved to Chatham Ronke’s house was where the children stayed after school. Even when I had to leave early for work, I would drop them there. Bankole and Tope God bless you both were at hand to look after all the children in the house. Through Ronke, I met Sister Lola Oyewusi, Sister Antonia, and others, where we had an early morning prayer meeting at Harptree drive. We shared looking for 11+ tutors for our girls dropping and picking in the sticks of Medway. Ronke would keep saying Aremus our efforts shall not be in vain, and it wasn’t. Ha still struggling to understand but we can’t question God. Aderonke you left a fantastic legacy though very painful but o ye Olorun. Rest on dear sister.
