A precious gem

My Darling sis, I normally call you “mummy Dammy”, “Iyaeto” and sometimes “my sis”. I find it difficult to believe that you are not with us anymore. I am waiting to hear you call me “A wura dear” or when you want to tell me off, you would say “Wurashoara re ooo”. I’ve never seen anyone so selfless and caring as you -always thinking about others and going out of your way just to serve others. The love you had for the Mosuro family was sacrificial,
which is unconditional love.

You were very easy to approach and talk to. When my mum was ill, you were the first person I spoke to about it and you prayed along with me. When Morenike became unwell 25 years ago, you were there and have always been a pillar of support to us as a family. You were always asking how life could be better and easier for Morenike. You were a mother to all the children in the Mosuro family because you always wanted the best for all of them. You were always encouraging them to be their best.
You were a really good role model for all of us who married into the Mosuro family and the shoes you have left behind are too big to fill. What will we do now without you?!!

Everyone that got to know you through me are finding it difficult to believe that you are no longer here. It’s difficult to understand, but who are we to question God? He is El Roi, he sees and knows everything. Mummy Dammy, only God knows why he took you so soon, but I have comfort in the fact that you are in a better place, free of pain and resting at the bosom of our Lord. The bible says “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” You my darling sis are precious in the sight our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 reads “We are confident, yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord”. So, I am glad you are in the presence of the Lord now sis. Heaven has gained an angel.

The Mosuro family have lost a real gem and precious soul. No one can fill the void. I will miss you my darling sis. You will forever be in my thoughts. Rest in peace!!
