Mummy dearest, where do I even start? Mummy embodied everything one would hope for in a mother in love—loving, kind, witty, and light- hearted. Despite the busyness of life and Mummy’s commitments, she always found a way to be present in every interaction. Whenever I called, 99.5% of the time, Mummy would answer almost immediately. She had a unique way of making everyone in her life feel loved and valued, from the youngest to the eldest.

Mummy was always quick to celebrate our achieve- ments and crush anyone in prayer who tried to contend with us. I will never forget when I was promoted back in 2019 in my previous organisation. Mummy was incredibly, incredibly proud and ready to tell the world about my promotion, but given my personality, I was much more reserved and quiet about it. This is just one of the many examples of the depth of Mummy’s love.

Another example, most recently: when people would call to ask about her grandson, Mummy would be so quick to boast about how well I’ve taken to motherhood. She was always so full of praise.

I am privileged to have you as my mother-in-love. From the extended time we spent together post-de- livery of my son, your grandson, to the last 3–4 months, I saw the beauty of Mummy’s personality unravel in different ways. Mummy was strength and love personified. I will cherish these precious moments forever.

Though we are deeply, deeply saddened that we have to part ways here on earth, your legacy, spirit, and light live on through us all, Ma.
